The Roller Shifter - Discuss!

I chuckled a little when I read the comment that described this as "the Talent Simulator" and I agree to a point, but as I'm far more creative than I am talented anyway, I see some potential in this pedal, if it were used in conjunction with a flooper, a ring mod, delay+vocals and any number of other applications.

They also build an additive synthesizer for guitar, which is way cooler if you ask me. http://www.pkeffects.com/en/products/synthesizer.html?8e5efdf7377663f273bc0b78fd3e8960=eb8fa77f2654e9946c17e43cf4fa805e :hobbes:

Those are both sweet. I'm confused though, is it for computer only?

It's a 3rd party line 6 module from the looks of it.

The Roller shifter is kind of meh...I got bored watching it.

The synth pedal is pretty neat, but why not just buy a Casio?

Yeah, I get that, but it was mentioning cost depends on the program...and the video has the pedal running into a computer with a digital interface.

Yeah - apparently the Roller Shifter was more work for the guy to program than the Synth pedal was, so the guy is charging more for it. The computer you saw was probably what he used to program the DSP code that runs the pedal module. That's how you customize those Line 6 modules.

Okay, excellent. Still doesn't make sense why they couldn't do a price list if that's the case. That synth is pretty tight...wonder how much

The Roller Shifter would be good for my aspirations of being the Philip Glass of guitar.
