Bass VI is amazing, but when I want to tap into my primal caveman side, I grab my four stringer. I can't beat the shit out of the bass VI like I can a regular bass.

Gotta have both. Bass vi is very cool but not a real bass and totally its own thing. Like neonblack said you can't play as aggressive or get the real lowzzzz.
Epiphone EB-0 a cheap short scale. Picked it up used off of Craigslist and it had some flatwounds on it. Stock pickups sound great, even fuller than a vintage Gibson EB-0 I came across once.

Bass VI is for finesse. Bass is for SMASH.
There is nothing like smashing and bashing the shit out of your instruments. I don't have any experience with the bass VI, but I abuse the shit out of my basses and guitars. Except my 335 epi deluxe. They just look so fragile. I love to get a guitar feeding back then give it a solid hiding. Its better than psychotherapy and more fun.
Every time I'm on here, I remind myself how I need a bass VI Every time I play one in the store, something just doesn't feel right. I have a love/hate relationship with it. But it would be be fun to play early placebo song on it.
no toggle? missing a knob? what's the wiring like? I've also never seen that plastic piece under the bridge before, or a badass on a rick haha. sick bass
