Any new fuzz pedals got your attention?

Post by Necrosis18 »

Man I fucking love fuzz and I fucking love doom/sludge.
I spent months listening to pretty much every fuzz on the market
but I've been super busy more recently. Have there been any new fuzz pedals
released recently, Like in the last 8 months to a year?

Bro, we're all about transparent clean boosts over here these days. We're just waiting on Tom to change the name to ilovecleans.com

For real though, last year was a good one for fuzz.

Smallsound/bigsound Buzzz
EQD Terminal and coming soon, Fuzzmaster General.
Mantic Vitriol
Infanem 141g and 141t.
There's a new black arts pedal coming out. The Witch Burner. Looks neat. Oh and the Boneshaker they did with DOD.

Blackout Effectors Fuzz Bear and EQD/Park Sound Fuzz come to mind (in addition to neons' recs). Also, the Function f(x) Cluster Fuzz.

Pretty much this... I think the only fuzz I'm looking to pick up in the foreseeable future is a Univox SuperFuzz...

^ Old is good, but if we're talking about new, I just watched the demo for the Catalinbread Antichthon and my attention was well and truly got…

Yeah the Antichthon looks and sounds the business, I just don't see myself using it for anything more that "ooo nifty!". Sort of the same reason I got rid of my Fuzz Factory.

LMAO that NAMM demonstration video for the Catalinbread Antichthon is hilarious
Cool pedal for sure but not really the beast I'm looking for.

I really like the sound of the ss/BS Buzzz suggested earlier
I want to test it against/with my Pharaoh, LSTR and Megalith

Anyone have experience with the Pharaoh Supreme?
How does it differ from the original?

That Old Blood Noise Haunt pedal is looking pretty interesting. A nice gated fuzz.

I don't know about the pharoah but I think you'll get some pretty different tones out of the Buzzz. The octave up is awesome. Crushing and crazy subharmonics.
