Would pancake plugs works in that situation, especially for the Unpleasant Suprise?

Those seems great:

I'm tired of my solderless plugs... they give me so much problems at the moment.

I'm using Evidence Cable Monorail.

I had the Unpleasant Surprise for quite awhile and can recall it not being able to take pancakes. Ended up cheapies I found locally that are non pancake. I mean, you could just give it a go. I may be remember wrong, but generally pancake cable cause me issues.

Also, yes, fuck solderless! Seriously. That's the exact reason I got rid of mine.

EBS flat patch cables. Changed my life. I had a couple pedals that pancakes wouldn't fit cause the jacks were too close. The unpleasant surprise was one of them. Those ebs cables are super flexible and super compact. :thumb:

Maybe one pancake jack plug and another less bulky plug, but two pancakes probably wouldn't fit.

The EBS cable look nice, but I already have the Monorail cable here (and it's high quality cable).

Is there anything better than pancake (smaller and non solderless)?

If you're already looking at the Lava Cable website, what's wrong with the G&H plugs?

Yeah, I was gonna say, EBS.

I've been pretty happy with 'em, but I don't really have cable problems. Don't know how high quality they are, but they're definitely higher quality than your garden variety patch cable. Not as high as the Monorail though. :idk:

Well I know I fucking hate them because of how hard they are to manipulate on my pedaltrain. But I still work it out. Lol

Anybody tried the Evidence Audio SIS plugs?
Solderless, but maybe better than the Lava one?

I use pancake plugs on my Unpleasant Surprise. They just fit with about 1 mm to spare. Close but comfortable. :thumb:

I'd suggest one pancake and one mini plug - that should fit.

I'd stay away from all solderless cables especially if you're in the habit of unplugging cables a lot. They break easily. I have a bunch of the Lava (soldered) mini plugs that are holding up real well. You have to solder the lead.
