She did cost me 400 euros...it was a really good deal cause they usually go for 800/900 euros over here (when one shows up...which means once a year).
It's my second Eko and I have to say, vintage hollow bodies Eko are so much underated...both of my Eko's necks are incredible (especially the Tramp one), and they were very very well made.

This one is next on the chopping block
I had one of these a few years ago. I had a Bareknuckle Warpig in the bridge, which was tremendous with the coil tap switch. A total sludge machine.
I had to sell it when I was going through bad times financially. Totally regret it, as you just don't seem them too often. The guy I sold it to totally wrecked it too.
That sucks, mine wasn't in great condition when I got it. I'd be generous saying it was barely playable. The neck still is slightly wiggy at the heel

I might have to try a warpig as i find the bridge gets a bit too thin.

Thanks!
BTW...I've made one (non-permanent) change to the Special since those pictures were taken. I installed an aged MojoAxe Compensated Wraptail Bridge. It intonates perfectly now.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
that mojoaxe is a smart mod and a dern sweet piece of engineering
it's subtle too
just looking at the website really impressed with it
no need for it personally but if I get a wrap tail it will be on the upgrade list

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
If you string up a vintage Gibson wrap-tail with 11's or 12's they intonate pretty easily.
These old guitars were designed assuming much heavier gauge strings than the standard Slinky 10's that I use.

I have a little issue with my 2011 Melody Maker SG's intonation. It's pretty great except for like two notes that are always a little weird. I don't even know if this is an intonation problem or just me being weird. It will be perfectly in tune in E standard, then I'll fret on the first or second fret of the G string and it will be a little sharp. Further up the neck on the string is good, and every other string is good everywhere. Had it set up professionally, upgraded the nut, took it to a second spot and they played it a little and said "Some people are just more sensitive to that sort of thing. Seems fine." I was a little surprised, like, you are the professional, you should be the most sensitive to tuning issues. Anyway, I'm not sure what to do. It drives me a little crazy, but I don't notice it at all when I'm out playing with people. I'm thinking about swapping to an adjustable bridge, but I don't really know if that would help. It has 10s on it now. Would going up a bit help with this?

The one plus is that it has made me practice. I write a lot of poetry and like to set the poems to music. Used to do this with mostly basic cowboy chords and stuff. Now I'm all over the neck, all triad based and I'm loving it.
Should mention it's just a little sharp. Not enough to really matter, wife doesn't even notice. Just enough to drive me crazy

Sorry for the potentially confusing description. Tried to be as concise as possible
