+1 on the Lexicon Vortex if you aren't opposed to rack stuff

+1 on PS-2, it's a fun little guy. Sounds fucked in the best way possible.
Since we're discussing this, what bitcrushers are available? There doesn't seem to be many in the small and affordable category, except for maybe the Mooer Lofi.
The Lateral Sound BitFix seems sweet, but very little info around. Malekko should rerelease the Bit.

Red Panda still has some of the tonecore bitcrush modules. Probably the most fully featured unit to be had for >$100.Eivind August wrote:+1 on PS-2, it's a fun little guy. Sounds fucked in the best way possible.

Oh yeah, forgot about that! That might be exactly what I want, actually. Thanks, duder.

And keep your eBay eyes peeled for a bitrman. Can still get them for around $100 if you're lucky.Eivind August wrote:Oh yeah, forgot about that! That might be exactly what I want, actually. Thanks, duder.

I just bought the tonecore crusher, psyched to play around with it.

Get thyself a Lexicon Vortex and a Digitech RDS rack delay (any stripe, go for price).
LFO controlled/non-destructive time controls and one-shot-gone-wrong sample and hold on the latter, and the former, well....there is still nothing else like it after 20 years.

RDS 3.6 in all its ugly (it does far, far more, but this is my standard ugly stupid). Basic LFO-mangled mean, sample and hold silliness and knob twiddling, add a couple other effects (notes in track description on SC).

Kaoss Pad... In order of fuckedupedness I'd say KP3, Korg Koass Mixer, KP2... These 3 sample and have great delay, bit crush, filters, verbs, shifting, broken modulators, and vinyl stuff that sounds just like Aphex Pusher...
That Digitech RDS is also redonk for what it does and is old and cheap...

I also did some research about that Lexicon Vortex and damn, that is one nice piece of kit right there. Will be keeping an eye on evilbay and try and snag one if a decent priced one shows up! Thanks for generously sharing your glitchy wisdom rfurtkamp

+1 on the mid-fi glitch computer! I want one of those a lot! Might be worth checking out the Ohnoho utter stutter. I bought one of those a few months back. It's a timed feedback looper which will basically completely destroy anything you put into it. It's a great pedal!

wmd geiger counter. The full version with an expression pedal is intense. You can sweep the bit depth or the sample rate with the expression input.
so much gear...

Thanks for all the feedback! I've owned some of these, and loved a couple. The Geiger Counter was a great pedal, but simply too difficult to use. Perhaps one day I'll check out the Civilian Issue...
I'm intrigued by the Boss PS series, but it looks like I've finally solidified a board--at least for the moment. I guess it's time to start another one...

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.
