Anyone here considering a supermoon? Small footprint, dark repeats.... It should be on the gas list too.

real shit I think I spent too much time in this thread/playing with the RM-1N yesterday. I was having sick dreams of turning knobs and trying it in different places on my board......... the fuck is wrong with me

Nope. Hasn't blipped my GAS meter at all.lapsteel wrote:Anyone here considering a supermoon? Small footprint, dark repeats.... It should be on the gas list too.
I'd try a DBA reverb if the price was right, say $120, and I had the spare scratch. Am curious about the Afterneath, but don't see myself shelling out for one anytime soon. More likely to pick up the Caline Snake Bite thing and see if there's any chance of it being Afterneath-ish.
Although giving up my delay search and ordering a 2nd RM has crossed my mind more than once in the past 24-48hrs.

Re: DBA Reverberation Machine vs. Industrialelectric RM-1N
I'm officially saving up for the RM1. I came so close to getting the DBA but the RM does so much more.
I've never kept a reverb pedal on my board for more than a few months, but I see this being a permanent fixture. It was like someone read my mind when I was thinking about everything I wanted in a reverb.
That fucking pedal has balls and courage. That pedal is my hero.

The Nimbus is very good. But the RM-1 is completely unique.
I liked the Nimbus in the many times I've owned it. LOL. It was lacking something though. Sounded too hollow to me. I don't know? Is that weird? It's great with fuzz though.
As a standalone reverb, nothing beats the H9 IMO. So I can't compare much to it. Although I'm not one that cares about digital analog stuff. So digitize the shit out of me.

Re: DBA Reverberation Machine vs. Industrialelectric RM-1N
Played uni's DBA Reverberation Machine a few days back.
I have to reconsider and say that in my opinion the Reverberation Machine and RM-1N couldn't be more different from each other really.
The Reverberation Machine thickens the sound when you turn the middle control up, it does distort a little in some settings but it's no way near the craziness of the RM-1N.
I would call the RM-1N very specific and awesome, it can do noise if you're into that and it'll influence your playing in such a way that you play totally differently, you have to adapt to it.
On the other hand the Reverberation Machine is / can be just a really beautiful reverb, it can do ambient, it can do a darker thickening reverb in the background and it just sounds awesome, I think in spirit it's actually closer to the Neunaber Wet Reverb than to the RM-1N, apart from that it does the slight distorted thing.

Seem like a pretty rad reverb, judging on this clip:doommeow wrote:Nope. Hasn't blipped my GAS meter at all.lapsteel wrote:Anyone here considering a supermoon? Small footprint, dark repeats.... It should be on the gas list too.

It's no afterneath though. I'm sure it's a versatile reverb in its own right, I bet it can go from subtle to washed out and huge. But the weird bouncy stuttery thing the Afterneath does, is rather unique I think

So the real question is, which one sounds better on bass?
