Munchbox - motion controlled expression pedal

Post by symbolique »

Looks pretty trippy but could lead to accidents like "being swarmed by bees on stage"

Looks ok but I gotta say that it's kind of gimmicky. Especially as a bass player. I mean, that shit makes my fucking back hurt just thinking about it. I try to keep the neck of my bass in one spot and not move spastically when playing. BUT I see guitar players doing that. hahahaha

Seems cool but 12k...yikes.

I like the asthetics, but the execution is sloppy. If I want
Motion control of effects I'll get a hot hand Behndy style.

The whole thing is rather silly, isn't it? So when he records, he doesn't sit? Or does he do ridiculous gyrations all the time?

I hope he succeeds. I believe innovation should be made, though this feels like a step backwards, like that vibrator that gets put on the headstock to make more sustain.

You really have to embrace the spastic within to make this work. I just don't know if that many people are willing to risk their cred to go full on David Byrne.

I kinda want it because I'm told I lack showmanship. Me! So dorkin' around with this thing might be the answer.
