I have owned 4 different memory boys
and generally like em
keep cycling them thru
usin one now with a TYM expression knob
gets really awesome
think this is the oddest yet
feel like I am getting shorter delay and more mod
I had skully swap some broken pots for me
maybe it just has dirge magic

Re: Memory Boy?
Well, I've got an E.A.R. Gristleizer which has a CV output of about -6 to +6v. If I hookryan summit wrote:can you explain what you mean by this?Phengren Oswald wrote:I'm hoping that i can link up

do you mean like one exp.ped or tap tempo for many?
im way interested in syncing some things up
up the Memory Boy (Gristleizer cv out to MB cv in) can I control/affect the delay time/ modulation with
the Gristleizer, which I think will work to some extant. My idea is use them on separate channels from each
other but be able to have the same tempo/ time ( lfo controls frequency on gristleizer and time on delay)
or something nerdy like that….

Re: Memory Boy?
I have the Deluxe Memory Boy. Awesome delay for the bucks. Only using a simple foot controlled exp pedal.
I live in a climate of extremes and I cant say I've noticed this time increase. Might be something that varies from unit to unit.SecretMachine wrote:The delay time on the Memory Boy will increase with temperature.
Or so, I've found anyway. I'd be playing a gig on a hot stage and would suddenly have another 200ms of delay time.
Lastly, this pedal is sweet but does have a sizeable volume boost when engaged.

Re: Memory Boy?
When I was shopping for an affordable analog delay, the memory boy was one of the contenstants in my top three.
Ended up with an ibanez ES2. Costs a little bit more, and it doesn't give you as much control over the modulation, but it's got the tap tempo switch, and the way cool oscillation mode. Most importantly though: About twice the delay time of the MB.
