Re: DIY MIDI Controllers
anyone can build a diy midi controller. it is easier than a guitar pedal. you do not even need to know soldering for some projects.

Re: DIY MIDI Controllers
I haven't seen much in the way of what I'm after. Some Arduino stuff, which I assume would be fine, but still looks beyond my ability.
I really just need a nice metal box with like eight reliable knobs. The knobs can even be fixed to CCs if that makes it easier. Plus regular old out.

Re: DIY MIDI Controllers
something like this seams like the easiest way to go http://shop.lividinstruments.com/brain-jr/
I've been wanting to build a midi foot controller to use with loopy on my ipad, and this or something like arduino looks the way to go. I might be wrong, maybe there is a cheapest way to do it?!

Re: DIY MIDI Controllers
That's cool. I'd love to buy it and all of the parts (knobs, enclosure, etc.), then ship it to someone like skullservant and have it all put together professionally. BUT no legacy MIDI on that thing
What the hell.
