What scale are you aiming for? Cus you can go shorter if you pick up a Jagmaster or Squier Duosonic (the ones with the aluminum pickguards from a few years ago) neck and get down to 24" if you wanted. The jagmaster necks are pretty nice too imo.

24" would be cool. I had thought that the Duosonic bodies weren't adaptable?

The MIM duo sonic had a 22.7" scale length (neck also being a conversion for 25.5"), so the jagmaster neck worked because it was also a conversion neck for 25.5" scale (from my understanding, the same bodies were used for the most recent 24" scale jagmasters as on the 25.5" ones, so a conversion neck had to be made). Intonation was easy as piss on the duo sonic with jagmaster neck too.
Never mind, I think I misunderstood. Yeah, the classic vibe duos can be converted to 25.5". Someone with a better understanding of it than me could probably explain it better, but it's pretty much the same concept as with the conversion necks that people on here use to get up to baritone/bassVI scale lengths on their guitars. Frets are added/removed so the new neck will be able to intonate. Worked great on my MIM duo with the jagmaster neck, and I don't see why it wouldn't work with this.
