Very cool idea. Personally I'd want the full featured geiger, but I can see that being perfect for some people.

I'll be on the lookout for one of these guys used in the future. $199 is still too steep for me. If I was REALLY digging one, I'd try and find a used standard.

I'm curious, but I'd like to see a demo of the sounds it's got before I went any further than that...

i played with one at fat tone guitars for about an hour a while back. lots of sounds that are useful, and many more sounds that you need to find a way to make useful!!!

299.00 is a little steep, got mine used for 240.00, but there is a ton of knob turning and switch flicking goodies in there... :animal:

once i get to know it better i might try to describe it more... ;)

I definitely want to hear demos of the full version, but I meant the civilian version (just to see if the slimmed-down footprint & price is worth it).

just by looking at the picture there is no tone bypass switch, no sample rate adjustment knob, no bit depth adjustment knob and no bit/mask switch.

even if they have all 252 wave tables in this i would think that the 2 more knobs and 2 more switches are worth 100.00 extra... :idk:

i might be going to fat tone guitars monday and if i do i will take a look at this civilian issue model... ;)

Ah, gotcha. Well, if you get a chance to go down to Fat Tone, please do report back. But it sounds like I should probably save my monies... more that I need to as it is...

I just got a regular version of the GC and I'm really blown away by it! I say for anybody who's on the fence considering a GC, go for it! It's a top notch pedal, built really well, and it'll fuck your guitar signal up six ways from Sunday. I've been messing around with mine for a few days now and I'm still hearing new sounds out of it and they're all wild and cool.

Hey Mike! Intimidating is a good word for it, for sure, it can surprise you sometimes too! I hope you get a chance for another one, it just seems like a great pedal to keep in the arsenal. Sucks when you get rid of something and then regret it, hey? I just want to hang on to everything and be a pedal hoarder... maybe even end up on that new tv show about hoarders.

The first step is admitting you're a hoarder, the second step is giving me the GC.

I actually had one for a while and can attest to the excellent build quality, sonic signal obliteration and intimidation factor. I'd say it took me a good few days of steady knob tweaking before I started to have a clue of what I was doing with it. Things got really exciting when I ran my moog ring mod into the CV? in the back, that opened up a whole new door to interstellar space travel. Unfortunately I had to part with it to raise some $ otherwise it would still be with me. :(
