Hey guys! So I just got a new preamp and wanted to install it. Turns out that there is no cavity to put the damn preamp in! Has anyone every modded their jazz to fit a preamp?
Pics, tips, love would be appreciated.

I would just build it in a box with a true bypass stomp switch like a pedal and then power it with the board supply. No need for batteries. Run that first in your chain. You could also fit the box with an impedance load pot on a bypass too and get more vintage sound from your pickups. Like an anti buffer. I have a load pot at the front of my board to tame active bass pickups and hot humbuckers. Also it can give single coil and P90 pickups a more vintage tone. I haven't got any pics but I will send love.

That's an option, but really want it in my bass. I may end up keeping the pre and waiting until I have enough dough to buy a bass that has the room already. Honestly this pre should go into a better bass. Or I've thought of asking Michael Tobias from MTD his thoughts on switching out the pre in my 435. If it can be done and undone, then it's not a problem.
thanks for the love!!!!!!!!
