So I recently sold my ampeg cab to fund life needs and I'm the spring will be looking to buy something new and am thinking ahead.
I don't need anything pretty an wanna keep it cheap (300 max but 200 would be rad). I use a traynor yba 1 which is great but to keep up with a band u need an 8 ohm cab.
I like 4x10s but am open to anything. Extra points if it likes guitar too

Re: Bass cab suggestions
I picked up a beat-up Ampeg 410HE from a dude through Craigslist for $250 and really like it for regular and baritone guitar. I barely use the (arguably much nicer) 2x12 I'd stuck with for years now, in comparison the 2x12 just sounds... dull.

What does 8ohm have to do with being in a band?

Well the yba1 is wired for 8ohms, so maybe that's what he meant?rot gut wrote:What does 8ohm have to do with being in a band?
Traynor or peavey is prob the way to go for your budget. I just say a peavey 218+210 for 120 bucks on cl, so theres plenty of cool stuff to be had for cheap.

Re: Bass cab suggestions
The head runs at 8ohms and I need a cab that matches that since the head is only 40watts. My prior cab was an ampeg 410 hlf and that was 4ohms so it cut my head room and lowered my overall volume considerably
