Someone offered me a Crate Palomino V32 2x12 for my strat. I was definitely looking for another amp, but I'm not sure if I trust Crate. I was wondering if anyone used this amp. I played with a guy who uses it and it sounded alright, but I'm still apprehensive.

Not for a good strat, otherwise buy it and perform one of the many mods.

I've heard the clean channel is sweet but the dirt channel isn't. If that helps at all.

What kinda Strat? Those palominos are sweet.
I've got a v50 as a backup and it has lovely fendery cleans, but as PP mentioned the drive is balls.

That price is only for you guys, everyone else is expecting to pay 300. I don't expect much outta the dirt, gotta OCD. My main concern is whether or not it'll compete with my other bandmate's 4x10 hot rod deville. Trying to get rid of the half stack.

I've had good luck with the Palominos in my shop. It's in a very different league than their solid state stuff. The V32 can get PLENTY loud, and if you have a good overdrive, well, you could certainly do alot worse.
