I'm torn between the Beef Bag or the Density Hulk Pro.
rot gut, how would you say the two stack up to eachother?
Any help would be nice.

From my understanding the hulk is what the meatbox should've been. Beef bag is an exact clone. I'd go for the modern update personally. They both seem to be in the range of the brown note.

Well if they changed the venerable DOD footswitch and the awesomely awful input jack then it's not an exact clone, is it?

Yes. Both listed on their site bro. BROD.o.S. wrote:So it's 9V and true bypass?
No batteries though

I've been interested in the Pro-verb for a while, does anyone here know anything about it? I'm assuming it's a standard Belton Brick verb, in which case I'll probably just build a 1776 Rub a Dub.

Yeah, these're the two I'm most interested in. Very helpful. Thank you.rot gut wrote:
The Density Hulk Pro is their version of the Meat Box but on steroids. I mainly used it for noise and had it so it was just pushing a lot of low end and really moving the speakers around, it was awesome. Right now I'm using it on bass though. I just set up a couple of rigs on my ABY so I can run overdrive, delay, and reverb through one which is an Ampeg V4 and 412 and the other one is the Density Hulk going through a Traynor YBA3 and 215. I have the Density Hulk dialed back so things don't get ridiculous, but you can hear/feel it when I let the notes ring out.
The Vitriol is my main distortion at the moment, it's great on guitar and bass. My friend was lucky enough to take the prototype on the road and just loved it, it became his main distortion pedal. He had his modded after talking to the Mantic guys at his Colorado show, it's not the $ mod, this mod I guess is either the Freddy or Sam mod. It turns the pedal to a high gain distortion to where it can sound like white noise when you're playing out of 12's. I use it with bass as my high gain distortion, I also have the Freddy/Sam mod. The pedal is great because it has a high and low knob for adding more high or low end to make it more versatile. Maybe I'll have my friend do a demo of his on guitar since everyone seems to use it for bass.
...
I hope this helps, I hate doing reviews but I back these dudes to the max.

Bump from the dead with this video

Best demo I've seen of one of these yet.
Is this one of our people that made the video? Its a great vid, but looks like a cheaper Knobs demo

Sounds pretty good so far.
It's got that purple sparkle pickguard and that excane style opening camera work.

I wonder how that Flex sounds stacked into a Vitriol or Density Hulk.
