I'm not fluent when it comes to the Red Panda stuff. Do I need a Particle if I've got an Echo Degrader and CT5?

If you have serious G.A.S. it doesn't care if you NEED something.

Re: Glitch
The Particle (pitch LFO is pretty insane) and Sonuus Wahoo are my glitch pedals on the board. Often both at once. The Wahoo handles the synthy/oscillation duties. The Particle's freeze/looper can be a lot of fun for weird noises if you have another modulation/dirt pedal after it to change the tones

Re: Glitch
Second the Wolf Computer and MASF stuff. Looking into other glitchness as well, so this thread is helpfull. And fuck yeah, Melt-Banana! Agata does some fantastic glitchy lines. Honestly, I wouldn't care that much about glitch becoming mainstream or overused; just do whatever you think sounds cool. Almost everything has been done and mastered already.

Re: Glitch
I always wanted a delay with a short delay and high volume on a trigger so you can hit certain notes that just suddenly run away with everything, but then go right back into playing.

Yeah, while not an "effect" by itself, I think a feedback looper can really help you get some unusual sounds.
A gated delay like that Boss thing, but...more fun?snipelfritz wrote:I always wanted a delay with a short delay and high volume on a trigger so you can hit certain notes that just suddenly run away with everything, but then go right back into playing.

Re: Glitch
mwfx glitch. its got a wide range of glitchy goodness, and a 5 or 6 way toggle that acts like a pitch shifter changing the pitch. it works wonders set and foget but to get the most out of it its really a hands on tool to play like an instrument, so if you have a loop going, or for post production etc.
using the ct5 in mode two for a loop

To add to whats been said... or not I didn't read it all... You gotta have a Boss PS-2. A Devi Ever OK would do some great things as well.

From 1:40 till about 2:20 he uses the particle. At some point he has a flanger going with it. Sound pretty insane.

Re: Glitch
Pitchfactor all day long, man...
There is a bit of a learning curve, but it's absolutely worth the time it takes once you get your head around it. Just keep the manual handy and force yourself to learn the basics.
Synthonizer mode glitches up pretty easily, but there's so much more to it that it will distract you from the whole glitch thing if you're not careful.
Harpeggiator mode has different glitch, fuzz and filter effects you can dial in to change the transitional sound between notes as it goes up and down the scales. Not to mention the ridiculous array of possible arpeggios.
Harmodulator mode is like two EHX Ring Things in pitch mode with built in delay on each.
Unlimited parameter control via expression to start and stop whatever. Heads explode, people die.
Foldback distortion for endless waves of rippling liquid decay. Source Audio Multiwave, or Crowther Prunes & Custard for a smaller alternative. Hit it with an octavia to multiply the awesomeness.
Robot Devil and EF103 both do the arpeggiated decay thing for much less than a DBA Robot.
Line 6 filters & synth fx (FM4/M9/Pod HD/etc). One of the OG champions of glitch.
Boss Slicer does lots of cool stuff, I just couldn't stand it not having a BPM display. Modfactor took care of that though. Still want to try a Mobius too.

Re: Glitch
I'm a glitch amateur, but the Line6 M9 is pretty damn glitch able. Feeding a reverb into pitch shifter into a different pitch shifter definitely glitches; especially when all 3 are at 50% blend. If you use an expression pedal, and set it anywhere between toe or heel and it will certainly be unpredictably.
Edit: Warpsmasher, I really love everything you had to say, because it's mostly conventional devices used unconventionally. In the spirit of ILF.

That's funny, I've been gasing for one for a while. Seems really awesome, glad to hear that it's glitchy as well. Might have to pull the trigger.PumpkinPieces wrote:To add to whats been said... or not I didn't read it all... You gotta have a Boss PS-2.

The PS-2 is lo-fi through and through, but in a very nice way!
