Not completely Shoegaze, but seeing as they were a big influence on it, I shall say this: If you get the chance to see the Jesus and Mary Chain's Psychocandy tour next year - JUST FUCKING DO IT.
I saw them in Manchester last night, such a wonderful racket. And they also did a short "hits" set at the beginning, with "Some Candy Talking" and "Upside Down" (their first single) as well as some slightly later stuff like "April Skies" and "Reverence".

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

Well that balloon popped rather quickly. Could they expected to do a full set if they do a U.S. Festival appearance? Probably not, I fear. That early stuff of theirs just hit it out of the park.futuresailors wrote:It's all uk...

Probably the best show I've ever been to, a couple of nights ago in Glasgow.

I had no idea JAMC still did some concerts... Psychocandy is what, almost 30 years old now ? Still a magnificent record, though.

Saw JAMC a couple of years ago in SD, they played like 70% of Psychocandy, it was really awesome.

They were a wreck when I saw them in the states, but it sounded great nonetheless.
