I fucking loved Only Lovers Left Alive, it had all of the Anne Rice trappings I love and, best of all, a killer soundtrack. One song that stood out of me is the opener:

Squrl's other music is pretty standardy shoegazy stuff, great on its own, but not matching with this song. Google Music and YouTube have not yielded any bands that sound like this, so I turn to you guys. Anything similar?

The Dead Weather do a more popular -- aka you may have heard of them -- variation on this sort of jam. Allison Mossheart's got a great voice for it. I particularly dig 60 feet tall (the first track on this record). Not typically very gaze-y, though.
