None.
Stuff on my board is essential. If not, i remove it.

Talking about shit in my drawers is a different thing though.

Thujone Extract. Technically, I don't NEED a batshit-crazy pedal that allows me to compete with my guitar players when they get into crazy feedback-land... but let's be honest, I really do.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

I probably don't need 3 delay pedals and 4 dirt pedals, but I want to look cool so I have to.

Same here. I used to haul around a big board with a couple of fun noise makers, overly complex big pedlols that really only served one bsic task, and about 5 different dirt peds. It looked good on pics, I'm sure it got me more ilf cred points then my current board...

When I decided to ditch everything I hardly ever used, there was only a hand full of dod/boss/ibanez/ehx/hardwire peds left. I like to think my music benefits from it. Less tweaking and knob fiddling, less hiss/noise issues, less annoying for my band mates...

If I had to name one pedal on my board that could probably be missed, expecially since my Ibanez ES-2 turns out to be an excellent drone/ambient machine:
EHX Freeze. And come to think of it, I could probably do with just one fuzz pedal, especially if I play through a 2ch amp.

It pains me to say this, but I'd put my Devi pedals in that category. I'm down to only 2 left (an EB and an Aenima), and I totally love what they both do, but neither are essential for any of the songs I play with either of my bands. I could easily replace them with other fuzzes I already have, but they both (especially the Aenima) hold a lot of nostalgia for me and were kinda my introduction to boutique pedals.

None.
I'm in a spot where I want to add at least 1 pedal I don't really need......try to add new sounds when writing new material.

Same, I haven't used my wah in any song I play or wrote, but it's the fastest way to get to funkytown in a jam.

I would also say my DS-1, it sucks but I can't think about getting rid of it. It's from my salad days of youth.
