Re: What's my fascination with..............
So more info on the guitar.
Spent some time setting it up a bit better.
It's really a great guitar. So much sustain. it's crazy. Only other guitar that would sustain like the BM is a Yamaha TVL. Not sure why? must be that trans red. :o
The pickup combinations are really interesting.
The bridge alone is a bit bite-y. It's pretty good sounding, but the treble can get out of control.
Conversely, the middle and neck are supa-fat.....both solo and combined.
the phase switches are also very useful.......especially with gain tones. Nice to get some honk.
Makes for interesting sounds.
I was hoping that the bridge and middle combo would approximate a humbucker.......which it does, but the low end from the middle makes it a bit too muddy with high gain.
The positive is that the guitar sounds really good.........like a Strat but beefy.
The negative is that I have to tailor my amp, pedalboard around this guitar to make it sound right (deal with all that low end).
If I cut the low end, I can't really use the bridge pickup alone. Which is okay, since the bridge/middle sounds good......add the neck and it fattens up even more.....for like leads or whatever.
I'm certainly interested in a treble booster/mid/full range booster now.
Though, I was using a SS/BS Mini, with the bass dialed down, and it sounded pretty good.

omg I didn't realise those looked so amazing! Gratz, the pickup options sound cool too. I did a lot of that stuff with an old strat and it can be interesting.
