No-Knob REVERB on the way!!

Post by kevinhifi »

Here's the official unpainted prototype of the new Moody Blue reverb pedal. Color will be blue (of course), label design TBD, and this is indeed the box that will be used. All top-mounted jack configuration keeps the side-by-side space savings similar to, even slightly better than, the original smaller no-knobbers. The box is a little taller than the average pedal to accomodate the reverb "brick" module that's inside creating the classic amp reverb sound we spent many hours tweaking. This is the perfect pedal to put up in the top row of your board for a no-nonsense set-and-forget reverb-when-you-need-it.

We're still taking pre-orders at $95 a piece, which includes USA shipping, until we have the first batch assembled and ready to roll out to patiently awaiting dealers.

Here's a sound clip of the stock setting. Much more intense sounds can be had, but this is where I (Kevin) would use it.

Yes. I can't say exactly when, but flanger is certainly part of the plan. I'm also hoping to do delay, phaser, vibrato, chorus.

And regarding the price, I see pre-sale as a way to give my loyal followers access to new stuff at a good price while helping to fund my development...moreso than a way to front-load profits. I keep the announcements limited to Facebook and forums because ultimately, I want my dealers to be selling the products to the public at retail price.

That's awesome!
I really like using delay and modulation as set-and-forget momentary kind of effects so if these sound sufficiently wacky at their extremities i will definitely be buying.
I can imagine a decent number of people here would be interested in the reverb, keen to hear how it sounds.

Here's another quick clip of my favorite setting. A slightly tamer version of this will probably end up being the "factory setting."
