Better photos to follow.
It's a 2002 R8. Got it from an "e-buddy" I've been doing deals with for a couple years now.
Right now it's set up with 8s and the wraparound stop bar thing. Totally the opposite of what I usually do (10s and regular stop bar setup), but I'm going to give it a few weeks to see what I think. My initial impression is that the overall feel is a lot looser on the tension. I think I might like it, but we'll see in a few weeks. Maybe I'll compromise and go with 9s.
It even smells good!

MMM Nice, I have always though 10's were the sweet spot on LP's. Have never done the wrap around on mine though.

Very nice indeed!
I too like 10's on my LP but lately I've been using 11-50's tuned down a half step. I don't top wrap either as most every LP with an AVRI bridge (as opposed to the Nashville) has plenty of break angle clearance/adjustability. Seems pointless.

Thems are 'spensive. Not that this R8 was cheap by any means.

I usually HATE flametops, but that looks gorgeous.

I'm very in the middle on flametops. Some are fabulous, and some just look like blues-lawyer garbage.
This one just blew my mind, though. And it even plays pretty good, too.

nice LP! I've never tried stringing around the tail bar like that... I have an old 1972 electra (lawsuit) les paul, and yeah, 10s seem to be ideal with it. I had problems with the nut with 11's and heavier (didn't bother modifying it)
