Bass players that are using the pedal for additional tones/textures would like the pedal on/off switch because a certain song needs different EQ and then Fuzzins.
Maybe I am just totally biased because i HATE scooped Mids. They sound good when playing by yourself but immediately gets lost in a band context 95% of the time. IMO, if this is a pedal for bass playing, in a band situation, the MiD footswitch should be toggled so that it can be a mid boost or mid scooped. I hate scooped miss so much that making this a core feature totally turns me off to buying the pedal.
I'm not sure why the hate for scooping mids? Maybe the pedals you've tried with that option didn't have enough balls? This will allow you to scoop it as much as you want vs a preset scoop. Meaning you don't have to completely scoop them. Just take a little off the top so to speak.
I honestly do not see this pedal having any problem getting through the mix and it will be tested in the context obviously before release. Also these features could change. This is all preliminary stuff. We're still two months off of prototype at least.
So you would rather have a on/off for the fuzz in order to use it as a preamp? Is that what you're saying?
What if we used the second switch for one of the boost sections?
Note that the preamp in this is modeled after an MTD preamp frequencies. SO it will be extremely hard to not cut through a mix. This pedal is also intended for band situations specifically.
So any and all comments, suggestions are welcome. I want this to be a swiss army knife and very useful. Not just balls to the wall. We could do a mid boost as well.
