ADSR Pedal - Where is?

Post by askashrub »

I'm looking for something like an electro harmonix attack decay, or pigtronix philosopher king.
Or ideally something with the ability to get much weirder :thumb:

So much dollars.

So much big.

Anything else out there?

That one for advanced and weird, just go straight into guitar synth stuff.

It's not cheap, but none of the options are.

I use my KORG MS-20 mini for stuff like that. Might be in a similar price range. ;)

Hey Pepe,

Good to see you've joined. I've watched plenty of your Boss demos :thumb:

Thanks folks.

I may try my hand at a Supergo, seems like a decent compromise.

Pigtronix Attack Sustain???

The little purple Guyatone can do a nice Slow Gear/Swell and it sounds sweet with delay and fuzzz...

As far as the swell/SG1 thing goes...I know the DL4 and Echo Park can do it, and so can BYOC's Slow Gear clone, the Lazy Sprocket.

In that departement I'd also go for the Guyatone though. Small and affordable, no frills. Not much extra noisy weirdness either though. Or the Malekko AD, which might be pretty similar, though I never tried one myself.

I bought a Pigtronix Attack Sustain, figured it'd be the end all be all SG1 swell machine. Really dissapointing, especially for something that pricey. Flipped it at the speed of light. As a compressor it's overkill for me, and the thing is about the size of a football field. It just sucked at the auto swell thing. I'm pretty sure it wasn't user error, and I read enough similar reports online to be sure that my unit wasn't broken or anything. The problem was that there was no way to allow notes to sustain naturally. If you'd want to let a note or chord to ring for longer than one second or so, it'd be cut off/gated completely. Really annoying, made the swell effect and the whole pedal totally useless to me.

What about the VFE Bumblebee?
It's a slow gear and optical compressor combined.

Yeah, good call on that VFE Bumblebee.

Used to be on my gas list for ages, until I ran out of monies and board real estate. Not sure if it's squishy enough for me though.

Just joining in here to see what other suggestions pop up. A bit interested myself actually in what options there are.

The best I know of is the EHX (Bass) Micro Synth.
Also, Strymon Timeline and Mobius do this and lots of other weird stuff.
For the rest most of the pedals are mentioned I think.
You could aso check this topic for more info:
