Nice! Seems like it would be sick when fed some fuzz and octave and then followed up with some flanger, reverb, etc.

Well idk after watching it more I didn't really hear any cleaner sounds I liked. I think I usually like bitcrushing/SRR more when it's one a thicker sound than a clean guitar. I really like how it sounds on chords. maybe he didn't play enough chords in that video.

From the video it doesn't seem to be able to do true sample rate reduction only, there's always a little bitcrushing action in there too if I hear it correctly.

^na homie. if u switch to mod mode, there is no bit crushing at all, and similarly if u turn the crush knob all the way down in crush mode0, it sounds the same as mod mode. crush mode will sound different depending on what u feed it, and where u set the lo/mid/hi switch. lo is the most grimey and the crush gets gnarly quicker, each step up, it sounds a bit more smooth to my ears, and the crush range on the knob is wider.
i didn't listen to the demo, but this is my own experience w/ the pedal so far.

i haven't tried it on bass specifically, but it handles the low end very well. i was surprised, even at more extreme settings w/ the mix dimed up.

Ah, okay, can you turn off the mod in mod mode too or change the rate of the LFO?Dr. Sherman Sticks M.D. wrote:^na homie. if u switch to mod mode, there is no bit crushing at all, and similarly if u turn the crush knob all the way down in crush mode0, it sounds the same as mod mode. crush mode will sound different depending on what u feed it, and where u set the lo/mid/hi switch. lo is the most grimey and the crush gets gnarly quicker, each step up, it sounds a bit more smooth to my ears, and the crush range on the knob is wider.

But crush all the way down in crush mode sounds pretty clean doesn't it, or is that pure sample rate reduction which you can influence with the freq knob?
It seems to have bit of a confusing feature / control set at first hand, without actually having your hands on it I mean.

Re: Red Panda BitMap... anybody has info?
yea it might be a little confusing w/o having it in front of u. the crush and freq knobs function oppositely. the crush works left to right and the freq works right to left.
so thats what i meant by crush all the way down was a full 24-bits or whatever, no crushing at all when the knob is all the way left. then as u turn the knob to right u get bit reduction.
flip that for the sample rate is full resolution or no sample rate reduction all the way to right, then as u turn it left u downsample.
u can turn the crush all the way left and w/o any sample rate reduction it sounds the same to me as when u bypass or turn the mix to dry.
not sure if that was what was foggy
u can change the rate, but not the depth of the LFO w/ the crush/rate knob in mod mode. i'm not sure if u can turn off the mod in mod mode, but turning the rate as slow as it can get, almost sounds like its off. or so slow that i had trouble noticing any change, the set sweep isn't super deep, and i think it works better at faster rates anyways.. but u can always turn it off by switching to crush mode. each mode works independently of each other. so u can't crush in mod mode, and vice versa. thats what the expression/cv jack is for. a big reason i opted for snagging a broadcast

Oh, right, thanks, I think I got it now, the freq knob is for sample rate reduction and the crush knob for speed in mod mode.
I dunno, for some reason this pedal seemed to sound more like a ringmod than a sample rate reducer to me from the video, I kinda missed those high chimey harmonic artefacts.
