Getting to the final stages of board bliss, trying to work out the power supply issues/situation.
Any reason why I can’t/shouldn’t run a daisy chain off one of the outputs of my DC Brick for the sole purpose of powering the LEDs on my passive switching devices?
I’ve got a bunch of things - TB loops, a killswitch, etc - that only need power for LEDs. Trying to cut down on the number of adapters and supplies on the board.
I haven't done this with loops, but I have with fuzzes. Usually works out fine. My rule of thumb is that as long as it's not digital or a delay, it will probably work out.
That said, I don't wanna be the one guy who convinces you to do it and end up blowing up your board... so maybe count this as one tentative vote for "yes."
I know it *should* be fine - we're talking about low current draw stuff here. I've gone ahead and ordered another daisy, needed one any way, and I'll do some testing with some of my easier to replace gear.
Just wish Mooer, Donner, et al would get more serious about the power game. Would be nice to have some true isolated power supplies on the cheap(er). I'm looking at 22-23 devices on my (main) board. Shit gets expensive quick.

Mooer does make a Micro Power Supply - they've carried it at my local shop, Empire Guitars (who are on Reverb, nudge nudge wink wink). I haven't tried it out myself, but you can also find it on the Mooer site: http://www.mooeraudio.com/en/ProductInfo.asp?id=119

i'm pretty sure you can daisy chain those led ones all together off one output, yes.

Dc brick is basically just a daisy chain anyway. Either way your fine daisy chaining that stuff. I always daisy chain my switching boxes and tuner and shit together off my supa charger. As long as you're hooked up to the proper voltage you can daisy chain anything and you won't hurt it. The risks are under powering something, which won't happen with the pedals you're talking about. A high current draw pedal that is on the right voltage but not getting enough current will just sound wrong or not function properly. But you won't damage it. The other risk is noise introduced in one pedal from another pedal's power circuitry. In which case you just need to isolate the offending pedals. If you're not having these issues, then you're fine.
