I mean I hope no one's trying to steal anything from the Rez's post heroin period.

^This. Listening to some demos I don't really hear the Geiger Counter as very NIN at all. Just because it's got sample reduction and is sort of overblown? The Nine Inch Nails sound is so many things that it can never really be one thing in and of itself.

This Reznor is the only Reznor.

Yeah I did. :erm:

Robin Finck uses/has used a bubble font, metal zone, and a Devi Bit. YMMV.

Sweet! I never knew I could get those gravity kills/stabbing westward tones I've been craving with my existing Filosofem rig!

Just to elaborate, I am asking about a pedal that not only does NIN guitar sounds, but is also reminiscent of Reznor's drum machine, vocals, and choice of clothing.

Then you need some shitty zoom from the late 90s. Mascara optional. Gaffa tape, mandatory.

Secret weapon of that era's Ministry and NIN tracks.

ART SGE Mach 2.

Truly shitty digital distortion, grainy reverb, direct into a board.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

Around the fragile I believe he was using some rack-mount Digitech Multi-FX as well.

There was mention of him using a Swollen Pickle in an old Keyboard Magazine article.

Another fun trick is "Play the riff an octave lower at half speed than speed it up to tempo in post"

I guess it isn't completely what you asked about but the most NIN / Industrial sounding pedals I heard so far are the HM-2 (lower gain settings with higher bass and treble settings), Unpleasant Surprise (octave up sounds) and FrantaBit.
good deals with: the_brow, phantasmagorovich, alexsga, DarkAxel, goroth, The Wood Wizard, Tendollarcat, vbps, monkeydancer, intothegroove, Brobee
