Agreed. If I ever got one I would get a purple velvet fedora and jacket to match. I would also embark on an epic purple pedal spree of pachydermian proportions.
The really amazing thing is that no one modded it yet. During the 80s techs loved the trem heads because they could disable the trem and have a free tube for overdrive mods without having to drill. Two extra knob positions, for that matter. And it was probably the rare case of the extra feature dropping the market value for most people who weren't in the know on hot-rodding/hacking.
I've always been curious about the trem sound of these heads. I've heard the 18 watter trem, but that's a different circuit, and no one--seriously, not a solitary person last I checked-- seems the slightest interested in the trem on the Supers that are so equipped.

Fucking awesome amp. I wouldn't pay that much. And if I had it, unlike everyone else, I'd tear the purple off and retolex it in black. The only acceptable mod for an amp like that.

Not worth that much. Maybe if it was in the original tolex regardless of condition but the "restoration" drops the value a bit. Purple is also mediocre on the scale of Marsahall custom colors. Orange would have been a wiser choice. Or fawn although this is a little early for fawn.
