New EHX(es) Day!

Post by wdinc01 »

Yesterday (while ILF was down) I got a SuperEgo via KravenDanger! I traded him a SuperMoon and a BBE Sonic Stomp. Both awesome pedals, but I didn't find myself using them that much. I'll probably regret trading away the SuperMoon, but I'll probably replace it with a different flavor of reverb. Or a chrome SuperMoon.

Also, earlier this week, I bought a Ring Thing off someone on The Gear Page (who happened to be local, so I saved a few bucks!). I guess that makes this a new pedal week, but the thread title was already saved from last night and I don't want to NOT use it.

Damn, what a nice picture. I've been playing around with the Ring Thing all week, and got the SuperEgo yesterday. Sadly, I worked most of the day, and had an improv thing at night, and had to pack for an early flight today, so I only got to play with it for half an hour (in lieu of packing), and not with the Ring Thing. But I'm gonna drone so hard when I get back!

Nice grabs. I miss the Ring Thing and I will never get rid of the Super Ego. Wish I owned them at the same time, the RT is probably AMAZING in the Ego' s FX loop. Godspeed.

For reference I have Boss PS-5 Super Shifter in the Super Ego loop. I call it the Double Super Ego Shifter.

Nice! I love the superego / freeze pedals. But you were right on trading the supermoon black if you're getting a supermoon chrome. The sway, extended time and full wet capabilities are really worth it.
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

MAN. Watched a lot of Superego videos after this post. They're just so sweet in the right context.

Love my Ring Thing! So much so that it's on my first EP's cover art...

My favorite Superego use is momentary/slowest speed/no gliss or dry/wet around unity. Time your chords so they fade in and out. Awesome pedal.

I've had my superego for about a month now.

My favorite use for the loop so far has been a tremolo (I'm using this one) and some slooooow modulation (a chorus is what I grabbed from the box o' pedals).

Sustain a note, turn the knobs, lose an hour. Happens every time.
