Best Flanger ever, it reaches near the Through Zero Point (as high as any non through zero flanger will go basically) and is well known for it's distinctive sound, it also offers the odd and even harmonics switch which really opens the pedal, the threshold is also useful as it sets at what point of your playing flanging starts effect... it certainly has alot of stuff other flangers to this day don't offer and it's all analogue.

Model wise, all good, some people say they hear difference between the first and 2nd generation, others less, with the 3rd about to come out (apparently using the MN3004 BBD) we shall see how it is received... it'll still have that sound though i'd imagine if with a slightly different quality.

Also, built fantasically and looks great... fantastic design for its time and still holds up now which speaks for itself, it's only been cloned once by a company as far as i'm aware... the snow something flanger? can't remember its name, anyway, damn good product.

However, as with everything, there's somethings that some people prefer, don't go by reviews, try it for yourself and see if it's for you!

My ibanez af2 comes close enough. I wouldn't mind owning one but the prices are a bit :wha?:

I've only recently gotten into flange lately and my current favorite is the Digitech Turbo Flange.

I'm wondering how close the Digitech EX7 A/DA model is to an actual A/DA. I played with the EX7 model and it seemed not as intense as the Turbo Flange. Is the original A/DA a more mild type flange?

in my top 3... depending on my mood for the day, I could go A/DA, Ibanez FL99 Classic Flange, FoxRox TZF, EH Deluxe Electric Mistress, or Ross Flanger (you know, the big red box)

Ok, so I meant to say top five

I have one. It's easily the most versatile modulation pedal I have ever heard. It does everything from subtle choral shimmers to wonky vibe to massive jet plane swoosh.

I love the smell of solder in the morning.

Successful dealings with: blooghost, starcastic, bronzetalon, theavondon, absent, jero, sevenSHARPnine, magiclawnchair, oldangelmidnight, and others that I can't remember lol

The A/DA is a classic. Flanger is definitely my favorite modulation effect, and I've got 4 of them :wha?: I've never personally played an A/DA, but I've heard so many clips, I could pick it out of a blind lineup. I am super-psyched that they're re-reissuing it.
