the switch should be DPDT ON-OFF-ON so you can go back to the stock fuzz factory. everything on here is designed so you can go back to the fuzz factory. I did not want to build something that could not replace my old 7 knob fuzz factory that I sold and ZVEX copied exactly 3 years ago. the output volume is doubled without adding noise from extra gain stages. the only thing I am a little unsure about are the values for C7 and C4. if you want to do the tone control like the official zvex 7 knob, you should leave tone pin1 disconnected or maybe just move the tone control to the output jack like a guitar. I am finishing up the pcb design right now if anyone is interested PM.

comments and suggestions welcome.

suggestion: second pcb just to hold these 9 pcb mount pots/switch? might be faster to build that way, (although maybe too much $$$ through osh?)

yeah I refuse to pay more than $4 for a pcb I made. that is a waste for building one pedal. if it was more of a limited run I would consider it. these were about $9 for 3 or $3 each.

ya fair enough. also another question/comment : on the schematic you linked, look at SW1_A. It seems to switch between the same net (1 and 3 go to the same place)? looks like maybe that switch isnt even on the pcb though.

you are correct. I did it on purpose. this is a ON-OFF-ON type switch. OFF being the original fuzz factory without mods. basically it is there to lift the 1M in OFF mode. if you do not care about discconnecting the 1M or if you are only using ON-ON you can use SPDT for SW1_B.
