SHOWZ! (tryin to play em)

Post by my bloody television »

my band Verbs is trying to book a few gigs in the northeast/New England area this spring and were wondering if any of you from around there know the sweet spot to play...or the spot that'll let a no-name group like us play. If you don't know the music, our myspace is in my sig. We're all from Saratoga Springs, NY and we all are in school so we can't really swing a monday - wednesday night gig unfortunately. I'm pretty sure we could do thursdays, fridays, and saturdays (though I know those are the most sought after nights). Unless we can make money, I don't think we can afford to do anything much further than maybe 5 or so hours away.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...even if you're looking for a group to support your next big show!

thanks,
-Garrett

You can come to Rochester. Play at the Bug Jar. I won't be there.

Maybe.

Burlington, VT will have you. The Radio Bean is really cool place for small style shows. Def easiest place to get a show for out of town bands. Really cool atmosphere and filling the room is a super fun dynamic. The Monkey House in Winooski, pretty much in Burlington, is more traditional bar and stage, but great. I'm assuming you play indie/shoegaze (rash assumption), if so those are the places you want to roll. Both guys booking for them are rad dudes.

awesome! thanks for the info! we'll definitely look into that. Burlington's really close to us too so that'd be great.
