There's no way I'm buying anything that has a good chance of get outdated by the slightly different next version of the same pedlol. I needz mah pedlols to be flippable

Yes, they do.
Hopefully you can get these as toneprints. I like my v1 Trinity, but if I can get some of these modes without losing all the value of my pedal AND having to shell out for this I'll be ok with that.
The toneprint editor is not so bad, as far as getting some rad sounds out of it.
I imagine most of these were user designed patches anyway.

They're trying to protect their higher end products, except....I don't want one of their all in one multis.
If I want that, I'll stick with Roland/Boss stuff.
TC has always been modulation/delay stuff, and verb is a distant second - I'm still amazed Digitech hasn't exploited owning Lexicon more (or that Alesis hasn't pulled some of their routines from cryosleep and made a Quadraverb/Midiverb pedal).

Digitech owns Lexicon? How come they don't make a Vortex in a Whammy style pedal?
Harman etc does, yea. Read the Hardwire et al ad copy for the reverb, it's why they suddenly had reverb pedals that didn't sound like ass.
And I honestly don't know why not. A slightly modernized Vortex would be a thing of glory - with a longer delay time and a couple more options I'd camp out at their offices until I had one.
The Vortex as a whole though I suspect they're in the whole live in fear of it thing - those things were the albatross of the 90s. You couldn't give them away until GC got a warehousefull for a buckfourtynine.

yeah exactly, I'd love some of their higher end stuff but a) I can't be arsed with things that aren't pedals and b) money
Maaan a Quadraverb/midiverb pedal could be very cool, those units are kinda neat.

Wanted you to chime in and say all those sounds can be done with a rack from the '80s/'90s...
Watching that demo I all could think was that it had to take this long for technology to get small enough so we could put them in a pedal... I love the Ensoniq DP-4 but if you open its 2U ass up it's 4 huge boards doing what could probably be put in a Bluesky sized enclosure nowadays...
