Hello! HCFX refugee here.

I went back to the PT Pro due to the impending reformation of my old band Razorblade Monalisa. I really need the modulation, extra delay, and Loopmaster switchers on there for a few songs.

There's a lack of fuzz, I know. My amp loves distortion pedals, can't stand fuzz pedals unless it's a Skreddy Top Fuel or a Blackout Musket. :animal:

Sweet damn board. I want to upgrade my DD-20 to a Timefactor SO badly.

It's definitely in the Mosrite/Maestro family, so it's bright and splatty on max settings and honking on lower settings. I think the fuzz would be even better with voltage controls (Right now I'm using the Germanium OD as a pseudo voltage controller). I think I need one of those Beavis Audio Devolt things. :wow what a fantastic idea you have there:

Sorry to fuel your GAS, but I think it's totally worth it. You can do so much with the TimeFactor. The only thing it doesn't do very well is tape delay, apart from that it's the best delay I've used.

I wasn't a huge fan of the Timefactor when I heard it at the AES convention in SF last year, same with trying it out in a store. Then again, all the modulation you got on it probably helps out with the sterile sound it puts out.

Also, nice carpet dude. :thumb:

The presets suck - I'll give you that, once you get beyond them it's all gravy. I tend to like digital delays for higher gain work, analog for the lower gain, that's why the DMM is still on my board.

That boc looks familiar. I saw Jeff Ray use something like it live, doesn't it make a drone-sitary sound?

The box on the left? It's a digital electronic tanpura, and does indeed make a drone sound similar to a sitar. Here it is pretty heavily effected (but you'll get the idea):

Sitar-esque drones are awesome. People need to use those kinds of long sounds more often in music. Also, hey you're that guy who subscribed to that one video I made! I guess I need to do another demo or something soon.
