The guy who makes them responded to me overnight and said it'd only be $15 to get a reverse headstock so of course the only option is yes

I think an alumitone in the Musicman sweet spot would sound rad in a VI. I would also consider that and a neck pickup? This is pretty similar to the mods I want to do to the Squier I'm going to buy.

Yeah that would be rad. I love Alumitones. I'm gonna rock it with just the SD for a while and see how I like it. If I think it needs more thud I'll probably definitely add at least a middle pickup!

I got the body in yesterday. Getting the pickup in today. I'll take some pictures tonight.
Thinking I'm just going to leave it plane pine, nothing fancy. I almost considered doing a quick wipe of ebony and then doing a blue tint, like the EGC's I'd posted previously

Hahha that would be pretty cool. I'm going to think on it. I have the night to myself so I'm gonna build pedals and sand the body down

Hahaha I do have ebony on hand. All of my other wood-stained guitars are ebony though. Although I think it would look beast

Although dark stains remind me of dark beards which remind me of lumberjacks which remind me of Paul Bunyan which remind me of deep voices which remind me of bass

Which is why the juxtaposition of bass and pink is so delicious!

mmmmmm

I did a little research into pink stains/dyes and it looks like they do exist, so I may look into what my local hardware store has.

I think a blue/teal/green with ebony would look good too

Grey stain on ash is nice, kinda gives it that worn barnwood effect, I think that and a dulled oil finish would be pretty sick.
