Let her know there are fools like me who often have new pedals arriving daily. Puts things into perspective?neonblack wrote:Tell that to my wife

My wife doesn't care. She's actually an enabler. :/

All my missus does is shake her head and walk away when I have a package arrive. Later on she will ask what I got and what it does. Or sometimes just "not another fucking fuzz pedal". But she doesn't get bent out of shape about it.GAS KING wrote:My wife doesn't care. She's actually an enabler. :/

My wife is generally non-plussed when packages show up. Probably helps that I've slowed down.
Right now i'm really happy with my rig and as a result haven't been wanting anything.
I am gassing for a new computer and a Microbrute but they're both so tertiary that I haven't been thinking about them at all. Just paid off all of my credit card stuff from a few expensive purchases I had to make (goddamn Whetstone) and I'm feeling good.
Need to take the Beta Lead into the shop to have diagnosed and fixed so basically...
1. Fix Beta Lead
2. New Computer
3. Microbrute
4. Profit.

My GAS has been fairly tame lately. Between the lack of finances and no room on my pedalboard has quelled that urge somewhat.
I did go to town with digital GAS though. My daughter in celebration of her new job, had been buying us all itunes gift cards. Now, I'm not big on buying digital music, I like the physical CD and rip it myself. So those funds were just sitting in my iTunes account... until Positive Grid had a 50% off sale. Purchased their 3 apps, and a bunch of virtual pedals and amps. Doing the virtual thing has been interesting and most certainly convenient.

I really need to spend some time fixing up some of my stuff.
My SG is basically shit. Won't setup very well, needs a new nut....not sure if it needs more extensive repairs or not (shit neck?).
Iceman's old dimarzio super distortions need wax potting. Hofner Verythin pots and input are starting to shit out.
I've got 2 amps that need repair. Trace Elliot SpeedTwin with burnt out diodes, and Peavey Duece with very little volume.
Need to have my POG repaired by EH.

I feel you, my repairs list:
Tele: wiring shot. Screws holding hotdog panel in are stripped out.
LP: switch worn out/cold solder.
SHB400: Pickup Mounts fucked from when I thought I was going to change out the PU's. Turns out the vintage ones were kind of rocking.
Vintage 65 Jag: Bridge Pickup, and mute foam are toast. May need some electrical love overall.

No money = no GAS.
Well, actually, I was GAS-free for like eight months but now I wanna save up a little if possible and build a dual pedal.
