Some questions:
How accurate a rotary speaker sim do you want?
How much you wanna spend?
How small an enclosure?

Small size, I think Mini VENT or Strymon Lex maybe, or this Option 5 thing.
The RRR does a cool rotary sim too if I'm not mistaken.

Well, there's the Neo Mini Vent:

It's not tiny & it's not cheap, but it probably sounds great.
I'd dissuade you from getting something like that though. I'd like to get rid of my v1 Neo Ventilator. As beautiful as it sounds, I don't really use it enough to justify it.
Also, you realize, most rotary speaker sims are gonna be digital, right?
If I were you, I'd look for an analog modulation pedal that can get close to some fake Leslie sounds. Flanger? Phaser? Vibrato?
(Tristan beat me to suggesting the Mini Vent as I was typing.)

I wish the RRR has more control.goroth wrote:Dr Sci RRR!

But it seems like a good option.
The Option 5 pedal, seems to be the best option.
But I won't pay that much for a function I won't use much.
Will check the RRR demo tonight.

Yeah, it's take it or leave it. Two speeds, non adjustable. But very awesome. And of course you get a nice reverb for free.

Flangers usually seem the best for this for me. Regen and a tiny bit of dirt is useful for those kind of sounds. But I've never even seen a real rotary speaker so uhh... it still swirls?Chankgeez wrote:Flanger? Phaser? Vibrato?
