Hmm... there may be some way to run it on a mac, but really couldn't say.
Will PM you both shortly (sorry... would've done it sooner, but I totally forgot about posting this offer)

Re: ah, the glories of 8-bit
i dunno exactly what raytownian is talkin about but i have the lsdj rom, which should work on anything u can use the lameboy (or whatever gameboy emulator) on. ive used it on my DS no problem, dunno much about macs in general tho.
if u need or want to try it out i could hook it up, or u can get it by donating a small amount to the dude who made it.

Re: ah, the glories of 8-bit
i need a cart not a ROM. the ROM is like $2 anyway. if i wanted 8 bit sounds using my computer i could just use a tracker software or something. as many Gameboys i have lying around it seems like a shame not to be using LSDJ or Nanoloop.

nanoloop is exorbitantly expensive, especially now that the dollar's tanking

Just offering it for anyone who did want it
Actually.... I didn't even know the ROM was for sale... Someone just offered it to me a few years back and I said "OKAY!
"
there's also the "Magical 8 Bit" VST plug-in, or whatever it's called--100% free.
