I love my Peavey supreme 160 for da bazz and guitar. Active EQ thumps hard as shit.

Those Orange CR120 amps are mighty. Gave one a go recently. My local practice space got one in, and it blew me away. It takes dirt/fuzz pedals well, and sounds colossal. Or the clean can go a little crunchy, and be driven with an OD. Or with no pedals at all, it still sounds excellent. I don't think it sounded very Orange-y though. Infact, I thought it was closer to a Marshall DSL, but without that ear-piercing fizz.

I played through the combo version of the CR120, which sounded great on its own. Then I connected it to an additional 4x12. Christ. It pushes serious air.

They're so cheap too. How are they so cheap? I think I might get one.

I used to have a Marshall Valvestate 50 head when I was 18. Played it through some unbranded bass cab. I quite liked it. It had some serious crunch to it, and served me well when I was playing in shitty hardcore punk bands. My tone always sounded huge.

I think they sound very much like an orange rockverb on the dirt side. I bought one back in feb and love it.

I was on a solid state hunt recently...just wanted an amp i can turn on and off without having to worry about tubes and also use headphones...if that orange crush pro had headphones i would have got it no question.

In the end i got a small little roland cube....i used it with low volume for night practice but that thing has so much bass its amazing!

All this Orange crush talk... I gave the 60 watt combo some play time when I stopped by my local guitar center yesterday... damn. I'll be saving up to get the head soon.

I love my Sunn Concert Lead. It has overtaken my Micro Terror as my favorite amp. It also has taught me to appreciate solid state. Now I have gas for a CR120.

I just saw a Concert Lead end on ebay at 480. Looks like they going up now.

I did a soundtest of the CR120 on clean with some fuzzes if anyone wants to gas it up even more

Very nice sir :thumb:

Been thinking about picking one of these up to run in a stereo rig with my beta bass. They really did manage to capture that sweet Orange tone with these it seems.

I agree. even my friend who while doesn't hate solid state, prefers tube... he even said it sounded like their Orange rockverb head.

I recommend you do, they pair up very nicely from what I can tell when I've ran it with my concert lead.

thanks for the demo SLK. digging your bandana.

treble seemed a tad high for my tastes, particularly with the HM2 but that's just a matter of one man's opinion. Head sounds pretty decent. Wouldn't mind trying one out especially if I could get a decent price on one.

hahaha it's actually just a plain ol hat, I just push it back on my head cause oddly I'll be sweating but my head is cold. My wife hates it when I wear it like that cause she says it looks like I'm balding.

It might be a bit more trebly cause I put in earplugs so I usually end up adding more treb than I actually need, also... camera mic ain't the best so it cuts a good bit of the lows out.

but you both are welcome, I'm glad some people appreciated it.

Yeah, I forgot about the camera mic tailing off those low end booms.

I've got lots of overtime that I've worked over the last few weeks and it makes me want to blow a sizable chunk on gear.
