There was some upset when I started posting here because I didn't know anything about online community boards or posting etiquette cause I'd never been on one before...literally was too busy with life stuff, anyways...there was so much bugaboo that more people than ever requested to Tom that I be permanent banned, it was all the rage. So I decided that my personal life and projects didn't need any spillover. Since then it's been pretty smooth sailing I feel, but.... to good times and friends, everyone who didn't foe me has been great to know.
thats fucking awesome warren ellis is rad. was at a camping festival over new years 2 years ago and he was camping about 50 metres away. i figured he wouldnt be the type to appreciate random young fans talking to him when on holidays so i didnt say anything
thats pretty cool! i've been a big fan for years and would love to meet him, but I'd more than likely not bother him on holiday. been playing his tenor model for a couple years now and came across a deal to good to pass up on the double neck. i've got a couple guitars coming in the mail but i'm really excited for this one to arrive.
Warren Ellis is one talented genius. A guy I used to work for was best mates with him growing up. So much so that the Dirty Three played as his wedding band. How awesome would that be. For anyone not familiar with the Dirty Three listen to the track Everything is Fucked.

What he said.
But if you ever decide to spill the beans, we won't treat you any differently.
I think everyone has a right to some sort of private life. As much as the media would have you think otherwise. As far as the forum community goes I think anyone who posts here, that has some sort of fame definitely needs some form of privacy if that's what they choose. When I was just lurking this forum I discovered that Kevin Shields was a member and that there was a little bit of hero worship going on. I notice that he doesn't post here anymore. Not sure why but I'm thinking he might of been a little embarrassed by it. I could be wrong about why he doesn't he doesn't post anymore. So maybe UG doesn't want the bullshit in his life of being harassed. I think maybe we just use the U.S army's policy on gays in the military. "Don't ask, don't tell"
Anyways, I can totally relate to anyone why does not want to get harassed or embarrassed anywhere. Imagine what would be going on if he was someone people on here worshipped or worse yet, the forum nemesis Billy Corgan. But still I am curious of where UG plays/ who he is. But that's mainly because it's anyone's dream to pay for a pedal habit like his by making music with the pedals. Especially since it's really damn hard to make any money from music.

No I don't think UG is Billy Corgan. He doesn't seem like a tool and Billy Corgan most certainly is and I can't for the life of me remember what Kevin Shields user name was. Someone else might.
