This one should do the trick, also markings on these will differ by manufacturer I've noticed, not sure if any other mods will be needed, but I doubt it, may want to chat with someone a little more knowledgeable, plenty of those types around these parts.

Also found this link, hopefully I'm not crucified for posting a tgp link, but probably some good info, also looks like it may be one of sparrows old threads regarding his ST

braaandooon wrote:Most likely problem with your sonic titan is the version of the lm386 your pedal is utilizing. This thread got me a little curious so at practice last night I cracked open my LAL lluna and my bass players fuzzrocious ram the manparts(both these pedals use the lm386) and noticed that they were marked "lm386(4)". Neither of these pedals display the weird decay issues you guys mention. Brought up a quick search at a certain diy pedal forum, and alot of the members there suggested that chips marked lm386(1) are the ones that display the funny decay issues. I by no means am any kind expert at these matters but just some food for thought. Maybe a chip swap is a cure all for the problem.
i've been told about swapping out that chip .. i\ve never bothered. my lm386 chip is a 1 :erm:
tashiattack - let me/us know if you swap out your chip. and if it solves anything.

I don't have anything to contribute, I just sensed someone posting a link to tgp and had to come express my disapproval.

That Jeannie was so hot. I would of spent a lot of time shagging her in that bottle. It looked so comfy in there.
Sorry to derail the thread with that filth. Please! Carry on. :thumb:

found this link

http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.ca/2012 ... titan.html

more talk about swapping the different numbered LM386 chips.
seems like people have success trading the 1 for a 4 or 3.

it seems like you could run the Titan at 18 v with a -4 chip .. and gives MORE volume :erm: whoa
i have much more interest in trying this now.

braaandooon shared the same link above :). More volume on a sonic titan?!... :whoa:

Because I'm useless, and I don't know how to work with electronics, a dude that I know who builds & mods pedals is going to do a chip swap for me, and anything else if I need it (I'll link him to the thread!). I'm pretty excited actually. There's a store 15-20 mins from me that sells LM386-4 chips so I'm going to pick it up tomorrow :D. I'll report about the difference as soon as its done!

I also ordered a b-stock BAT revelation for 112$ on proguitarshop. Can't wait :omg:

If I like the revelation more than the DLS (which I think I will because Holy Schnikes has always been bang on about everything), I might trade it for a Pharaoh (I really miss my old one now :( ).

Timmy > Sonic Titan > Pharaoh > Revelation :!!!:

Those lm386's are socketed, it should be as simple as pulling the lm386 out of the socket and then putting in your new one. If you don't like the results will be easy to revert back.

Anyways looking forward to hearing your results, thinking about trying out some different flavors in some of my dirt pedals.

Check out a Red Llama, it lets you keep your tone and does fuzzy distortion. Also has a ton of output.

This thread has inspired me to try the -4 chip. My titan clone has the fizzy decay thing (-1). It meant I tended to use it more for it's harmonics as an overdrive into other dirt, rather than as a foundational pedal for it's fat power amp swagger. But I've been using it a bunch lately and it has been less annoying... seems worth a shot.
