I clean them well one time, then after that I clean and oil the fretboard if I change strings or disassemble 'em. Can't be bothered to actually polish them or anything though.

Nah, same. But sometimes I'll get a wild hair and try out some rounds before going back to flats later.

Don't own any vintage guitars (even if most of my amps have been around my age or 10ish years older than me), but yeah, can't have that happening. It helps that a good, dark rosewood board looks great when maintained, so I have some extra motivation to stay on top of that! :thumb:

I'm generally the same. I normally keep strings on for 5-6 months unless I need to change gauge for some reason. I make sure to wipe them down every time I play to extend their life, but they tend to hold out for that long before they break from how abusive I am.

I wipe down the fretboards when I change strings and oil rosewood boards. Maple boards I let get disgusting. It's more about keeping them playing well and less about looks for the necks.

I don't do anything to the bodies though. Or the back of the neck generally. Grime is rock and roll.

Nope, never. The only time I've ever cleaned a guitar or bass is when I was selling it. I want my shit to look dirty and used hard. That goes for my pedals too. Every pedal on my covers board has a good 1/4" of dirt and grime on top of it, including my $500 Strymon Mobius.
