Re: Buzzz...?
i finally stopped fucking around and got a buzzz
holy heavy, only got it today so obv still in the honeymoon phase but this thing is sick, well done brian! its got such a wide range, like everything ssbs and its the most fun pedal i have played perhaps ever
with the mids scooped the subs were shaking my floor a bit which is something i havent experienced before and now want to experience every day

So now that the honeymoon is over, how are you feeling about it?tomlane95 wrote:i finally stopped fucking around and got a buzzz

I finally stopped tweaking and found a couple settings I really like. I keep mine on low gain mode with the octave on the stomp. Gain at 10 o clock, treble maxed, starve turned down just a little. Its a nice fuzzy OD without the octave, and then a great "lead bass" tone with it on. Not the absolute heaviest on its own, but when I stack it into my TAFM- Holy hell.

I think the honeymoon phase is over for me and I still love it.neonblack wrote:So now that the honeymoon is over, how are you feeling about it?tomlane95 wrote:i finally stopped fucking around and got a buzzz

It's a staple on my tabletop noise Drone Commander board now
Essentially the board is a 3x3 matrix mixer with two inputs/outputs being used as feedback loops.
One loop only has the Buzzz in it. The other has a Secret Destroyer, Randy's Revenge, and Dispatch Master in it.
The final input is the Drone Commander and output is to my amp
The Buzzz is amazing and add everything from monstrous bass to being it's own crazy sound source when it's being feedback looped

my amp is about to die so i may have to sell it and a bunch of other stuff i like to upgrade and drop down to one fuzz on the board
stacks great usually and i looooove having the octave on a footswitch, the scoop is too dramatic for me but i can see its use, both scooped and non scooped sound cool
very cool pedal, but the tafm is still my #1

Re: Buzzz...?
Sup guys, just bought a Buzzz, my 2nd SS/BS after a mini. Love it.
Just curious, I have another switch under the "gain modifier" on the left of the pedal and it seems to have a similar effect and I was just seeking clarification as to what is does exactly, can't seem to find reference to it anywhere and I'm a tad curious

Re: Buzzz...?
I use mine on low gain mode for bass. Good OD without the octave and the low gain mode keeps the octave from being too piercing. Keeps it kinda round and synthy, good for stacking too. Low gain Buzzz + octave up + gated TAFM set super dark = awesome angry lead synth tonezzz

Re: Buzzz...?
Cheers guys, I cant get enough of this thing. And yeah, I'm an all switches to the right kind of man, although activating the tone blast into a pushed treble low bias mini sounds fucken mint.
Thanks again fellas

Re: Buzzz...?
Whats up everyone, my first post on this newly found site. Seems like a kick ass community around here.
Anyway, I recently purchased a BUZZZ from Reverb and I'm BLOWN away by this unit. There are so many textures/tones to be had from the BUZZZ its unreal! This is truly THE fuzz I've been looking for, for a loooong time.
My question is whats the extra switch located under the BLACK TRIANGLE toggle? The website shows a 3 switch version and I cant find any info on the fourth switch. I know it really doesn't matter and I should just listen when switching switches but the curiosity is killing me. lol Any info? FWIW, the serial number is #010. Thanks in advance...
And again, this pedal is unreal!

Re: Buzzz...?
welcome to the forum! stick around, it's great here
that switch, i believe, is germanium/silicon switch, left and right respectively
germanium is a little lower gain and slightly 'warmer' from my experience

exactly. germanium (LEFT) is warmer/softer, more compressed and quieter overall, whereas silicon (RIGHT) is harsher in general yet cleaner at lower gains, much louder overall and much less compressed, so the difference between octave and no-octave is way more pronounced.goosekevin wrote:welcome to the forum! stick around, it's great here

Re: Buzzz...?
Are the Buzzzes all just silicon now or is this four-toggle still a thing?
