Nah dude, I have the vocaloid software and that's what miku sounds like if you make her go down to E1 (she's only supposed to go down to A3, but you can force it lower).

Would Miku be good for that kind of thing or should I check out another Vocaloid?

Yeah, Miku slots into gaze really well, but I personally like Gumi (whisper voice pack), as well as Luka when I want some english.
