It depends on how the pickups are wound, but with mini-humbuckers probably brighter & clearer with possibly a little more output. Difficult to say with hearing the specific pickups though.

So far I like the guitar I've tried with P90.
Like the Demers Revolver.

And I like the description this guy made here in that vid:

I'd never seen that rig rundown. Yeah, I think you'd want P-90s.

Yep, I noticed.

IDK, it's hard to keep track these days of what certain pickups sound like or are supposed to sound like. If we're going by what original Gibson P-90s or mini-humbuckers, the P-90s are gonna be warmer and fatter sounding and the minis are gonna be clearer and brighter.

I have a jazz box that I bought unloaded and couldn't decide whether to put P-90s or mini-humbuckers in it. I went with the mini-humbuckers and I made a mistake. They're Seymourized minis that have greater output & mid-range than the vintage ones. They're still too bright for me though. So, I know what Syl's talking about.

So, Syl, don't get a guitar with mini-humbuckers. You won't like it.

I didn't care for minis until I played the new Fralins. I've always wanted the fanos. I don't know if I'll afford one and if I do, I'll probably baby it and that's no fun.

Fano stuffs comes semi-beat/relic'd so the babying can be an afterthought.

Oh it's all relic'd? I thought that was just an option.

Don't they charge extra not to relic it?
