i recently went on an OD search for my board and ended up with a Rodenberg GAS 909....yep....a TS9 clone. TS's have never worked for me in the past and my fave memory of my old 808 is that i sold it for $450 in the early days of ebay. ... and it's not that i don't like them...they just haven't worked for me in the past. anyway......now i suppose i'm one of those TS guys too.

My t00b screamer gas is gone, though now I have gas for.... a sitar.
WTF how do i go from a tube screamer to a fucking sitar?

The TS gets a bad rap because so many nimrods buy them for the SRV factor. My 808 clone is always on. The asymmetrical clipping option helps tremendously for getting natural overdriven sounds at a reasonable volume... you know, for when I want to play after everyone else is in bed.
I love the smell of solder in the morning.
Successful dealings with: blooghost, starcastic, bronzetalon, theavondon, absent, jero, sevenSHARPnine, magiclawnchair, oldangelmidnight, and others that I can't remember lol

This. Can't beat an 808 (clone) with asymmetrical clipping.
