NPD! (finally...)

Post by my bloody television »

so about 3 and 1/2 months ago I ordered a DMB Lunar Echo pedal. It FINALLY came today but I'm pretty sure it was worth the wait. I bought the pedal at a transition period to PCBs and orders were backing up all over the place so it did take a good long while and a few emails to see how things were going.

This thing is absolutely amazing. it's tits. If you haven't seen the youtube videos check em out. in person it's just so satisfying. I've played with and used a bunch of old space echos in the studio and this thing has that tape echo mojo going for it. With my eyes closed I don't know if I could distinguish between the two. The added bonus of hi-fi and lo-fi switching plus the "tape" and "wrecked" modes make this an amazing and versatile piece of kit. I left my EB volume pedal up at school so I can't try out the expression input, but with an expression pedal you can control the delay time. It's also a tall pedal, like at least 2-2 1/2 inches tall, but I think it looks really cool. overall very impressed. Mike at DMB was very helpful through email and always very upfront about all the delays (hardy har har).

here are some pics of my completed (for now) board

I should also mention that this pedal is SUPER interactive. All the knobs really interact with one another, plus your playing can completely alter the way the effect sounds. For instance, playing really hard will give you more "trails" or feedback, whereas backing off and playing lightly will create a very subtle delay effect.

also, the take off switch is :omg:

Nice! I've wanted of those since they came out but my skrecho kinda makes it hard to look at other tape echo-y pedals.
The builder seems like a down to earth guy and he really listens to customer feedback.
