Your favorite single size enclosure DELAY
Size of a TC/Boss/MXR or thereabouts. Whats your favorite? Something that can be found around $100 used.

DL-8, DD-7, DE-7, Echo Park.
For the money, it's probably hard to beat the DE-7. The other ones all have their own different pros and cons, but overal I personally think the DL-8 is a better bang for the buck than the DD-7.

I really like my Memory Toy a lot. It's simple and it has a great sound.

I like the Boss delays a lot. DD-6 was my favorite.

I really liked the Catalinbread Montevillian.
I have only been using the DD-6 for holds. I should branch out to the actual delays.chuckjaywalk wrote:I like the Boss delays a lot. DD-6 was my favorite.

DE-7 for the all-around tonez, although the switches are pretty flimsy
DML10 for weirdness and cool form factor
RV-3 or DD-3 for nice clean digital-sounding repeats
PS-2 for the most harsh and abrasive of delays

I really liked the Memory Boy, but that's a smidge bigger. The Memory Toy is basically the same pedal but with a couple less modulation options. That would be my choice.
For digital, DD-7 is probably what I'd go with.

Re: Your favorite single size enclosure DELAY
Square wave modulation on the Memory Boy is fuckin sweeet.
Montavillian is also very cool but it will always have the weird filtering on the repeats. Not that its a bad thing, I just thought I could tame it with the tone knob but not really.
People here love the Disaster Transport Jr.
DD7 has a lot of cool and useful things packed inside but it had never fely "inspiring" to me, at least not for typical delayed sounds. Still a cool choice, as is a DD3.

Another for the EHX memory toy. I just wish the modulation adjustment was external as opposed to internal.

Disaster Transport Jr all day every day.
Favourite basic delay tone out of any I've owned, it's gorgeous.
