I'm surprised I'm still alive. I told my wife the last incoming guitar in the house would be the 12. Then the Stratoblaster arrived. Then the EGC landed. I can't even imagine her face if a Mustang showed up, free or not hahha

I have such a huge raging boner for the Squier Bass VI. I've played one twice in a GC and loved it. I wish I could hear it on my amp before I decide to buy tho.

I want to get one of these and paint it dark grey or dark blue and put a black pickguard on it. and take off the squier logo and put something else on the headstock. or just leave it blank.

I need to figure out the best way to repaint a guitar.

I wonder if I could take it to a car painting place, or if they would totally ruin it.

Repainting is easy enough if you're prepared do to a fucking lot of sanding. Get rid of existing finish, primer, paint it whatever the hell colour. Done!

If you took it a car place I'm sure they could do it no problem (whether they would is a different question I guess) but if you were to do that I'd just take the body to them so they can't fuck up or lose any other parts.

That would look sick, you should totally do it!

On modern guitars with thick plastic finish?

Rub it down with really fine sandpaper, just to get it a little rough, allowing your paint to stick easier. Then do countless ultra thin coats of glossy spray paint.

Good god, no, don't try to remove the old paint. just rough it up a tiny bit so the new paint can hold on. And yeah, some clear coat on top when you're done with color wouldn't hurt.

I'm in love :doom:

For some reason I didn't jive with Baritones, but I love guitars, and this Bass VI is definitely a hit as well. I just love how its such a mix of both worlds and that you can do both ranges of tones with it
